About James Malone

At the southernmost point of Europe, between the mountain and the Mediterranean Sea, lies the headquarters of James Malone Fabrics, surrounded by bougainvillea and olive trees. Perhaps due to its location, the South is present in the philosophy of this fabric publishing firm, chosen as a place to connect with the rest of the world.

The English Mediterranean

Inspired by James's childhood in England and embracing the influence of the culture gained from the last 30 years living on the southern coast of Andalusia, our carefully hand-painted designs transform into prints and textiles woven with natural fibers and vibrant colors.

No matter what your linen product looks like when you purchase it, all linens start as a raw fibre weave. The touch, smell and shiny blonde tone of raw, unwashed linen are evidence of true craftsmanship.

The Irati Forest, in the Navarrese Pyrenees, is one of the largest and best-preserved beech and fir forests in Europe. With its 17,000 hectares of biodiversity, this natural enclave has been the source of inspiration for our new collection, which pays tribute to its serene beauty, mysticism and harmony with the environment.

Crafted to our linen look, our new Outside-in collection combines beauty with durability—without compromise. Tucked away in the semi basement of a quintessential Madrid building, the JAMES MALONE showroom offers a welcome respite from the bustle of the city outside. Open exclusively to the trade, it is an intimate space to explore textiles, wallpapers, and handmade rugs and cushions—a collection that is at once timeless, eclectic, and ever-evolving. One-of-a-kind pieces further enrich the experience, making each visit unique.
